Chelsey earned a bachelor's degree in human development from the University of California, Davis. She went on to earn a master of occupational therapy from Samuel Merritt University in 2010. She has worked in multiple practice settings including acute care, acute rehabilitation, outpatient neuro rehabilitation, burn rehabilitation and hand therapy. She earned her CHT in 2016 and became a certified burn therapist (BT-C) in 2019. She has worked at Stanford Hand Therapy since 2019.
