Cadaver Dissection Review of Flexor and Extensor Tendon Injuries in the Hand
Description:
Anatomy of the flexor and extensor systems from the wrist distally would be reviewed by cadaveric dissection. Common surgical procedures including both flexor and extensor tendon repairs, tendon transfers and tendon reconstructions will be performed and reviewed.
Objective(s):
- Describe the zones of the extensor tendon system.
- Describe the zones of the flexor tendon system.
- Assess the need for early motion based on the type of repair and the timing of the repair for both the extensor and flexor systems.
