Sami Tuffaha, MD

Dr. Sami Tuffaha, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Plastic, Orthopedic and Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins and faculty hand surgeon at the Curtis National Hand Center. After completing his Plastic Surgery residency at Johns Hopkins, he pursued Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship training at Mayo Clinic. His clinical focus is on peripheral nerve surgery, functional reconstructive microsurgery, and surgery to improve upper extremity function in patients with spinal cord injury and spasticity. He also leads a basic, translational and clinical research program focused on developing therapies and devices to improve peripheral nerve regeneration and functional recovery.
